Everyone's heard the sound of church bells but not many people think about who's doing the ringing. People have rung bells in the UK in the same way for hundreds of years.
Bells sound in celebration, for weddings and jubilees. They sound in mourning at funerals, to remember people who've died.
You do not have to be a member of the church, a Christian, or religious to learn to ring.
